What We Do

Tax legal services

Tax consultation

  • Interpret China’s tax laws and regulations for foreign individuals and foreign-invested enterprises, covering corporate income tax, individual income tax, value-added tax, customs duties, and other applicable taxes. Help clients understand their tax obligations, applicable tax rates, and available preferential policies. For example, when a foreign-invested enterprise is involved in a specific industry, legal counsel can explain the relevant tax incentives and the conditions under which they apply.

International tax coordination and cooperation

  • In cases involving international double taxation or cross-border tax disputes, assist clients in communicating and negotiating with the tax authorities of relevant jurisdictions. Leverage international tax treaties and related mechanisms to seek preferential treatments such as tax exemptions and credits, and to resolve international tax disputes. Additionally, support clients in participating in international tax information exchange and cooperation mechanisms to ensure compliance with global tax rules while safeguarding their legitimate interests.

Tax planning

  • Design lawful and effective tax planning strategies tailored to the client’s business operations and objectives, with the aim of optimizing their overall tax burden. This may involve restructuring the organizational form, business model, or profit distribution method to reduce tax liabilities. All planning schemes are designed to fully comply with Chinese tax laws and mitigate potential tax risks.

Tax compliance and dispute resolution

  • Assist foreign-invested enterprises with tax registration, declaration, annual final settlement, and other compliance procedures to ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations. In the event of tax audits or disputes, represent clients in negotiations with tax authorities and, when necessary, resolve disputes through legal procedures such as administrative reconsideration or litigation, in order to protect the client’s lawful rights and interests.

Real estate-related tax

  • For foreign clients involved in real estate transactions, holding, or leasing activities in Beijing, provide a full range of tax services related to land appreciation tax, property tax, deed tax, and more. This includes explaining tax policies applicable at various stages of real estate transactions, assisting in the calculation of tax liabilities, and offering tailored tax planning advice during the property holding period.

Equity transfer tax

  • Provide professional tax services when foreigners carry out equity transfers. This includes calculating and declaring corporate income tax, stamp duty and other taxes involved in the equity transfer, reviewing the tax terms in the equity transfer agreement to ensure that the transaction complies with tax laws, helping clients optimize the transaction structure to reduce tax costs, and handling relevant tax filing and approval procedures.
